Kory Wilcoxson
Senior Minister
kory@crestwoodchristian.org
I’m Kory Wilcoxson, and I have the privilege of serving as Senior Pastor here at Crestwood. I’ve been here since November of 2009, having served in Chicago and Indianapolis before coming here. I have degrees in communication and journalism to go along with my religious studies, and I’m currently pursuing my Doctor of Ministry degree. I have two daughters, Sydney and Molly, who keep me humble and bring me much joy. I’m so blessed to serve this amazing congregation and can’t wait to see what God has in store for us!

Trish Standifur
Associate Minister
trish@crestwoodchristian.org
I describe myself as a “child of God doing the best I can with what I have today!”
I grew up in Beckley, WV and am still proud to be a “mountaineer!” I moved to Kentucky to attend Lexington Theological Seminary in the late 80’s and have been a Cats fan ever since. In my 27+ years of ministry, I have served churches in Lexington and Burlington, Kentucky.
I love ministry and its sacred path. I am grateful for the call. I work with the Care Ministries, Outreach Teams and Senior Adults. It is a gift to try to offer comfort to ones who face challenges. It is a blessing to work to provide ways to care for those in need and to foster opportunities for individuals to find ways to make the world a better place.
When not found doing any of these things, I like to play cards with friends and ball with my black lab! I enjoy being in nature…as long as the nature doesn’t slither!
Brian Miller
Associate Minister for Youth and Young Adults
brian@crestwoodchristian.org
It’s an honor to be serving at Crestwood as Associate Minister with our youth and young adult ministries. Previously I served congregations in Kentucky and Ohio. I attend Lexington Theological Seminary, where I am seeking my Master of Divinity degree. I grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where I met my wife Brandi in 2012. We have two dogs, Lucy and Olivia, who are our beloved children. I enjoy hanging out with my wife and our dogs, watching sports, reading, and playing sports. A random fact about me is that I love peanut butter!
I’m grateful to serve the loving and faithful Crestwood family and excited to see where God leads us together!

Maureen Howell
Office Administrator & Pianist (Early Worship Service)
office@crestwoodchristian.org
As office administrator and early service pianist, I enjoy the diversity in my dual role at Crestwood. I’m a native of Virginia and graduate of The College of William and Mary and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. My husband, Warren, and I moved to Lexington in 2015 from Charlotte after working together in music ministry in churches in three states. We have two children, Clara and Andrew (1990-2010.) I enjoy travel, reading, baking, and frying green tomatoes.
Peggy King
Children’s Coordinator
peggy@crestwoodchristian.org
Born in Maysville, but raised in a small town in Ohio, I returned to Kentucky in 1978, and continue to call Lexington home. I have raised 4 children and have 8 grandchildren.
After studying Early Childhood Education at the University of Kentucky, I spent several years teaching preschool and 10 years working with the children’s programs at Tate’s Creek Presbyterian Church. I have been the Children’s Coordinator at Crestwood Christian Church since April 2015. In 2013 I became a Certified Baby Sign Language Instructor, and offer baby signs play classes for babies who have not yet developed a full vocabulary but have the desire to make their wishes known.
My love of animals keeps me busy early mornings and late evenings with visits to the small barn where I board my horses. I enjoy trail riding, but I’m content just spending time with the 2 trail horses, the mini donkey and the mini horse I call my babies. I also enjoy gardening and backyard bird watching.

Rhiannon Jackson
K-5 Children’s Choir Director
I am a Lexington native and am very glad to be back home! I attended Crestwood and sang in the choir my last year in Lexington before moving away, and am so excited to be back as part of the staff!
As the K-5 Children’s Choir Director, I feel very strongly about using our voices to worship the Lord, and I hope to pass on that passion to the kids! I will mix traditional and common temporary worship music, and make the experience enjoyable and fulfilling for the kids! I can’t wait to get started singing some fun music with your students!
I received my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from UK in 2013, and have two years of classroom teaching under my belt, and this will be year three, but my first year as an elementary music teacher in Franklin County. My husband and I just got married in April and we are both thrilled to have teaching jobs in the area!
